Well, the inevitable is happening...yesterday, pump for jet 1 sounded like a 1956 Chevy that just blew it's muffler...figured it was a bearing probably...(snow blower sounded like that last winter before I bought the new one...) so I called one of the techs who used to work for Strictly Spas for 5 years before he quit last year (I write his car insurance now)...to see what he thought...he came out this morning...and sure enough, says it is the bearings on the motor...and it could last till tomorrow or next summer...he has no clue...so that's one aspect of the situation...I can handle that, we will get a whole new insulate wet end pump and then I will see what Catalina will give me back on the warranty...hopefully for a unit that's two and a half years old, there will be some compensation or I'll have to deal with it...anyone know a good source for a Waterway 56 frame 230 4 hp unit? It think is's B235 part number. The net has prices that range quite a bit...
Next, we discovered the interior pipes are completely rust laden...he was stumped as to how to clean them out safely and well...his ideas just didn't totally fly in my mind so he suggested I ask you guys what you'd suggest to do the job...any suggestions would be appreciated...he feels that the rust probably is what got the bearings on the motor...
Thanks for your help...
