: The numbers aren't that bad, but try bringing the pH down to 7.2 to see

OK, this may seem weird and may have nothing to do with your situation, but I had a similar problem and it was because my cover needed replaced and the deposits were actually part of the cover falling into the water, even though they appeard to be "organic". is your cover in great shape?
