Not likely. Possibly neither. First, determine if the brown control box is sending power to the motor. If you do determine that the pump is bad, you will also need to order part # 4516000 flange and glue it onto the discharge of the new pump. It must be oriented the same way as the flange on the original or the new pump will be ruined. You may also wish to replace the gaskets while you are at it (Part #0199000).
