: I have a Echo/Essence Z145 spa with a dial-type topside that has not
: been used in a few years. Pump runs fine on high/low, but the heater
: won't kick in. There are no error codes, they do show up if I
: disconnect the sensors. The temperature sensor seams to work fine -
: if I turn the temperature down all the way the pump stops, if I raise
: it the pump kicks in on low speed. However the heat light doesn't go
: on, and there is no voltage at the heater terminals. The heater
: resistance is about 11ohms, it seems that the heater relay doesn't
: get called to energize. I'm guessing it's the control board, but I
: was just wondering if there is anything else I could try before I
: replace it. Also, is it worth sending the board for repairs somewhere
: or just get a new one? If it is a circuit board, any idea which
: component it could be? Thanks.
Probably a bad pressure switch. Possibly a bad board, but not as likely as the PS.
