Are the pumps rated for 120v or 240v?
If 240v, you're 120v testing is completely irrelevant.
: Hello all, as the warm season approaches i am having problems with hot
: tub again.
: Hot tub: Jacuzzi brand
: Year: 2000
: Pumps/motor: 2
: At the end of the season I noticed the FL error was on and I assumed it
: was the flow switch so I went ahead and winterized it and planned on
: adjusting the switch in spring. However, I do not believe it is the
: The problem is when I power on the hot tub no pumps are coming on. If I
: remember correctly the pump should kick on immediately after turning
: power on. I do currently have an FL error. I have adjusted the flow
: switch up and down and have had no luck. The switch is in working
: condition, I have checked it with an ohm meter. I also checked the
: power of the motor connection from the control panel coming out and
: it reads 120 volts from both wires going to pump. I also pulled the
: back of the pump off and it is reading 120 volts to both terminals
: but no pump coming on. The grounds appear to be correct.
: My assumption is that the pumps are either stopped up or the pumps are
: burnt up. I assume they are burnt up. I just wanted to double check
: before I drained the water and replaced the pumps. Is there any other
: problems tht could be causing this?
: I also noticed that the hot wire that screws into the control board
: appears to be melted some but I am getting 120 volts coming out.
: Could this be an issue?
: I am really assuming it’s the pump because I am getting 120 volts from
: both terminals on motor but still not kicking on.
: Thanks in advance, Jody K
