Breaker swap

ok, on my hot tub there is a switchbank, its a balboa vs500 board. All the switches are off except 10. 10 is on for 30A service. I currently have my hot tub plugged into 120v. I have a rental home and can't have the 220v put in. So my question is, can I switch my 30A breaker to a 50A breaker and then switch my hot tub switch to 50A service? The hot tub does not run both head and pump at the same time when its in 120 mode. So if I have it plugged into a 50A breaker will I be able to switch #10 on the switchbank to 50A service, and have my heat on while my pump is running the jets?
