: I have a Softub T140 with P24 pack, made about 1999-2000. I bought it
: new, it has never had service and has been kept very clean and used
: little. I believe that when new, the air control worked fine (lots of
: bubbles).
: Recently I noticed that the air control stopped working. It seems to
: have a slight air leak all of the time, but only VERY few bubbles
: when the air control is open.
: Maybe the problem started when I reskinned the tub, and replaced to jets
: with the new style Softub jet, which I do not care for. The new jets
: have more parts and are more complex. The old jets worked fine, but
: are discolored or bleached with time and use.
: The new jets do not seem to fight tightly. Even when screwed down tight,
: they can be wiggled slightly. I think it is possible that the
: looseness is interfering with the operation of the bubbler. The pump
: seems to be fine with normal water flow. The passages are clear - I
: can spray water through them fine.
: Any input? Any experience with installing the new jets?

I doubt it's the jets. Disconnect the air hose between the pack and the tub while the jet pump is running and see if that results in plenty of air.
