: I have a Genesis Bromine generator installed in my 2004 Aruba tub. It
: has a circ. pump running 24/7. It is at our lake lot and I drain it
: yearly for the winter. I get water trucked for the tub as the well
: water has a high metal content. After filling it up 1 week ago I
: added checked the ph (7.2) and Alkalinity(1100)and added the proper
: amount of Genesis bromide. I set the generator on 10. After checking
: this weekend the there is no bromide according to the tests. Reading
: your very informative blog I now know enough to check out the element
: with a voltmeter. My question is can I add the "B" part to
: activate the Bromide and wait until I drain it in the fall to change
: out the element? We used it on the weekend and the water clouded. If
: I have to order the element in and get water again it'll probably be
: at least a month before we get to use it and I have grandkids coming
: out.
: Thank You, Dave
yes no problem activating it with MPS or the manufacturer says to use a jigger of bleach .you will just need to moniter your ta and ph a little more as MPS will push both down .not sure how bleach will affect your ta or ph .
good luck J.C.
