Re: Hot Springs No-Fault 6000 Heater

Hi John, I found this thread while I am desperate for help. I have a 2000 HS Grande, both pumps and silent circulator run well, but temperature just doesn't raise. My breakers do not trip. I've pushed the little red button on the top of the No-Fault® 6000 heater, but I really don´t notice any thing happening when I do that. I also took away the filters to make sure flow is there. I have some experice as electronics technician, so if you could help me with some explanation on voltages to check. I read also about the relay box, where is it?, what do I need to check there?...Thanks in advance

Paco

: You would be better served by just paying the dealer to do this. I think
: the board costs around $150 and it only takes a decent tech a little
: more than half an hour to do, so labor costs are minimal. If you try
: to save a trip charge and a half hour labor charge, you run the risk
: of massive damage. The last customer I had that did this who didn't
: know what he was doing, it ended up costing him well over a $1000 to
: replace the IQ2020 box, the burnt out breakers in the sub-panel and
: completely replace burnt wiring between the sub-panel and the tub.

: You stated yourself that you have minimal electrical knowledge. Trust me
: when I say that playing inside an IQ2020 box is not for the neophyte.
: I don't mind helping people on this board, but I expect them to have
: some level of skill with electrical/electronic circuits.

: John
