Here is an update on my spa-cap experience:
Well.... SpaCap still has my cover!
After all my messages to them I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. SpaCap responded to THEM (they never had the decency to reply to me directly) that they were going to ship the repaired cover to me for free on December 8th. That did not happen.

Stay away from this company!
