Well, they have been available in the lower 48 for at least a couple of months. I got one as a replacement pack for a customer about two months ago due to a lightning strike wrecking all the electronics and the motor. It was more economical to just replace the pack. I was flabbergasted by the noise reduction. I saw the pack up close at the New Bedford plant. The motor is a shaft-less design with an integral heat exchanger molded into the pump body.
