:Malcolm ,I just notice how low your tds is at 690.you should have a a tds of approx. 2050 after you added your Sodium Bromide.plus what your normal tds level of your water is .are these numbers from your initial fill? how big is your tub? and how much salt did you add? you should use your Sodium Bromide test strips periodically to check salt content.especially if your topping up your tub due to a lot of splash out.evaporation loss won't affect your salt content.if the tds # you gave is correct you don't have enough salt in your tub.and you definitely will have a reduction in Bromine production.I have a 1620 litre tub.initial salt I add is about 8.5 lbs.if I add the liquid form called "brom add" I use aprox. 9.5 litres
