Ask 'Dr. Spa' Q & A Message Board

Re: Pilates H20 XP1
In Response To: Re: Pilates H20 XP1 ()

: I see that I am posting on the wrong board to share my experience of
: owning a spa. And it is unfortunate that the people that seem to post on
:this board do nothing but provide sarcasism and false information.

James, as of 3 days ago, by your own admission, you haven't even started up your spa yet. For some reason, you've come up with some guess as to what it might cost you to operate. Those here, that are saying different, actually have YEARS of experience with spas.

: The spa I purchased is built at a factory in Florida that builds spas's
: for many makes and models (artic spa, golf coast spas, beechcomber etc)

This is simply untrue. The factory that make your spa, makes a number of different brands. "Brand names" that they own. Arctic and Beachcomber have their own, individual factories, in CANADA.

: and in retrospec is built no different than other spas's on the market
:(big box or dealer).

This is simply untrue. Every spa manufacturer assembles their own spa, at their own factory. Most manufacturers purchase many of the parts from other manufacturers, but they all put out somerthing unique to their brand....from their own factory.

: There are only a few manufactures in North America

If you call 100+ a few, then you are correct.

: and all the components or guts come from the same factory (the dealer I
: hooked up with uses all the same components in their spas's so if I have : problem they can fix it).

Again, untrue. Controllers, pumps, heaters, filters...all come from different manufacturers. And there are numorous manufacturers for each.

: Also the information I seem to be getting 75 dollars to 125 month to run
: my spa that is total bunk that I have no doubt.

Yet, as of 3 days ago your spa hasn't even been running. In all reality, you haven't a clue what it might cost to opoerate your spa.

: That is why I suggested to anyone to hook up with a local spa dealer and
: you will get your answers (professionally) and they definitely did not
: say the numbers I am getting here.

And yet, through the years, we with EXPERIENCE see people complaining of the costs we've talk here about.

: In the end I will not bother posting on this board anymore because
: sharing of facts do not seem to be appreciated.

Facts? What you have been led to believe is NOT a fact.
